Lost in Random: The Eternal Die was one of my favorite games to play during the Steam Next Fest, and for good reason. It's a roguelike that reminds me of Little Nightmare's visual style, but it has some intriguing mechanics that I haven't seen in many other games in the genre. It's definitely interesting, and to get us ready for the release, Thunderful Games has released a new Dev Diary detailing the haunting soundtrack that we will get to experience for ourselves on release.
Hosted by Sound Designer and Composer Ola Bäckström-Berg, he went over how he captured the audio for the game and created the melodies of the songs we will hear. He mentioned that he went around with a mic, capturing whatever he felt would fit, and found himself in an abandoned lumber yard where he recorded metal sounds and glass breaking, which is used in the game. He was even able to voice a character and got to see his studio.
It's quite an interesting watch, and I always love seeing some behind-the-scenes as to how video games are made. They are so complex, so giving a look at what it takes to make the game is always a pleasure.

Lost in Random: The Eternal Die can be wishlisted on Steam now ahead of its Q2 2025 release.
