The wait is finally over, with the open-world co-op rogue-lite Hyper Light Breaker finally entering early access later today. The game will be available with a 10% launch discount from its usual $29.99 price tag for its first week on sale, and if you purchase Hyper Light Breaker before January 28th, you'll also receive a copy of Hyper Light Drifter if you don't already own it.

Hyper Light Breaker takes the franchise into the third dimension, allowing you to embark on an adventure with your choice of 3 Breakers, which you'll be able to tackle solo or in co-op with some friends. As it's a rogue-lite, expect to die and die again as you face the ever-changing world as well as a variety of enemy types.

As the game progresses through Early Access, the developers plan to add additional characters for you to play as, new bosses for you to encounter, as well as a greater variety of equipment, expand the story, as well as add more to the game's world. A roadmap detailing the updates planned for the Early Access period will be released in the coming weeks.

Can you and your friends overcome this procedurally generated world as it gets corrupted by the Overgrowth and defeat the Abyss King? You don't have to wait long to find out. Try different loadouts, find new gear, and create the ultimate team.

Hyper Light Breaker launches later today on Steam for $29.99, with a 10% launch discount for the first week of release. The game hasn't been rated by Valve for Steam Deck compatibility yet, and the system requirements are towards the upper-end of what the Steam Deck can handle, but hopefully this one will work fine.
