Hyper Light Breaker's Bured Below Update Overhauls the Game, and is Out Now

Hyper Light Breaker had a difficult launch, but a big update to the game is out now that changes the fundamentals and should improve the core experience!

This update is called Buried Below, and it is a complete rework of Hyper Light Breaker's game design, returning to the classic roguelike formula. With one life, the gameplay experience should be more consistent, with players building their gameplay around surviving as long as possible. This was a baffling omission from the original release, so I’m pleased the developers have responded well to player feedback!

There are also some new weapons to collect as well as new dangerous biomes to explore, and a new deadly enemy Crown called ‘Maw’ who will be a great additional challenge. A new tutorial is also part of the new patch that will help new and returning players get to grips with all the new features.
