There are tons of really amazing games to play on the Steam Deck, and when there are some to get for free, it's always a great idea to grab it. While I do a weekly article about free games to redeem for your Deck, there are some that could slip through the cracks due to becoming free later. Unfortunately, Golden Light is one of those games, but there is still some time to pick it up, and I highly recommend doing so before tomorrow.

Golden Light is a survival horror FPS roguelike about props trying to hunt you in a fleshy meat world. Yes, meat. It's crazy, creepy, and a whole ton of fun. It has procedural levels and horror elements with randomized weapons, so it feels quite replayable. It was actually one of the first games I tried out on the Steam Deck, and it runs really well. So, being able to get it for free right now on Steam is a treat.

The game runs decently well on the Steam Deck and is currently rated Playable due to some issues like small in-game text and showing incorrect controller icons. Still, it's completely free to redeem right now and keep it forever, so head on over to Steam and redeem it before February 24th at 10am PT.
