It is always great to get new games to play on the Steam Deck, and getting them for no cost is wonderful. And the newest free game you can get right now on Steam is Mini Thief. This smaller title is all about being a thief and going to different houses to try to steal as much as you can without getting caught. There are multiple different levels to play through, and it will get more and more difficult as you play.

On top of that, it is playable on the Steam Deck. It didn't work out of the box, and I had to force Proton 9.0-4 due to the native Linux version not working, but afterwards, it was working just fine. It runs swimmingly without any changes, getting to 60 FPS easily with a battery drain average of 8W. It feels solid to play with a controller, and should be totally good to play on the go.
