As a fan of chaotic co-op games like PEAK and Human Fall Flat, the newly announced FixForce looks like a gem that is going to be worth playing. Developed by Surgent Studios, the creators of Tales of Kenzera: ZAU and Dead Take, this is an up-to-six-player co-op platformer where you will work with your team to build your way across the post-apocalyptic world and fix broken machines using a gravity-gun-esque drill-wrench. It looks vibrant, beautiful, and filled with glorious chaos. It also sounds like a great experience for portable play, and we can confirm it will have support for the Steam Deck!

Over on Twitter/X, we saw a post from the CEO of Surgent Studios, Abubakar Salim, talking about how their new game was described in a Rock Paper Shotgun article. I decided to leave a comment asking about Steam Deck support, and Abubakar confirmed that the Deck will be supported and that the team loves the device:
Looking at the store page, I would say the game's minimum system requirements do fall in line with playability on the Steam Deck, though it is towards the upper-end. The minimum requirements ask for:
- OS: Windows 10/11 64bit
- Processor: AMD Ryzen 2600 or Intel Core i7 6700k
- Memory: 8 GB RAM
- Graphics: NVIDIA GTX 1060 6GB, AMD Radeon RX580 8GB, Intel Arc A580
- DirectX: Version 12
- Network: Broadband Internet connection
- Storage: 15 GB available space
- Sound Card: DirectX Compatible
Still, this should still be in the playable area, though if Surgent Studios made some specific optimizations for the Deck, this could make it even more playable.
And I really hope it is great to play on the Deck! The game looks wonderful. It gives me Garry's Mod vibes with its gravity-gun-esque drill-wrench, and I absolutely love it. The whole extraction loop, where you have to arrive on the map, fix the machines, and get out. With enemies to avoid and hazards to be wary of, FixForce looks like a fantastic experience that I can't wait for.

FixForce can be wishlisted ahead of its early access release on March 12th.
