The incredible team at Remedy Entertainment is making their first self-published game, and it looks like it will be an incredible one. FBC: Firebreak is a three-player co-op FPS that takes place in the same world as Control. Today, the team hosted their first live stream for it, and it looks like a blast to play, and it sounds like we will be able to play it on the Steam Deck quite nicely.

During the stream, the team confirmed that the game is aiming for the Steam Deck Verified badge and that it's very important to them to hit this. Communications Director Thomas Puha discussed how well optimized the game is and touted how great it is on lower spec hardware, which prompted Game Director Mike Kayatta and Community Manager Julius Fondem to confirm this for the Steam Deck as well and that they are aiming for the Verified badge.

This happened at around the 1:33:35 mark of the stream.

With the minimum system specifications not having been announced yet, this sounds like a dream come true. I love having new first-person shooters to enjoy on the Deck, and I love Remedy's games, so it feels like a match made in heaven.

During the stream, they also showed off a brand-new job, more gameplay, behind-the-scenes commentary, cross-play between PC versions, and the pricing for the game, which will be $39.99. They also showed off their Deluxe Edition, which includes voice packs, skins, an armor set, sprays, and more. It will cost $49.99.
