Etrian Odyssey Origins Collection is Steam Deck Verified!

It's almost time to dive back into the world of Etrian Odyssey and it seems doing so on the Steam Deck could be a great experience! Yesterday, Etrian Odyssey HD 1, 2, and 3 have all been rated Steam Deck Verified!

Disclaimer: Just because a game is verified doesn't mean it will run well on the Steam Deck. Many games that are verified have significant issues while ones that are "unsupported" run extremely well.

Originally released between 2007 - 2010, the Etrian Odyssey series is a 3D dungeon-crawling JRPG where you will build and upgrade your party to explore, fight, and discover. Search for rare treasures and hidden secrets within deep labyrinths while marking down your findings on your map. With turn-based combat, you will have to think tactically to overcome.

The HD collection provides fully remastered graphics, soundtrack, and a bunch of quality of life improvements including difficulty selection and save slots. The games can be purchased individually for $40 each or in the Origins Collection bundle for $80.

While not widely beloved like other series from ATLUS, like Persona, Etrian Odyssey was one of my favorites to play on the DS. I would highly recommend trying the game out if you are a fan of JRPGs, turn-based combat, or other dungeon-crawlers like Labyrinth of Galleria.
