EmuDeck's New 2.4 Update Adds New Emulator, New BIOS Checker, And More

EmuDeck is one of the best ways to easily install and set up emulators on your Steam Deck, and a new update has just released that adds in some great new support, tweaked features, and a brand new emulator. This should make it a little bit easier to use overall for those who want something quick and painless to just download and get gaming without needing to change much.

SteamDeckHQ does not support or condone piracy in any way whatsoever. We do support emulation, but only for legally purchased copies of video games. If there’s a current console generation being emulated, we recommend purchasing the game and playing it on its respective console.

The new 2.4 update now gives you a selection of either ES-DE or SRM (Steam Rom Manager), and ES-DE will now be auto-added to Steam. ES-DE is my go-to graphical frontend for all my emulation needs, so I am overjoyed that it’s easier to use and set up. There’s also a new BIOS checker that supports more emulators to make sure the files you have are correct. We also have support for the new Azahar 3DS emulator, and EmuDeck can build Citron into the program if you have the appimage already.

There’s also a new help manual on the EmuDeck wiki, and if you are using the program on Windows, you can now try out three new emulators: Model 2, Supermodel, and BigPemu.

The update will be downloaded automatically once you open up EmuDeck. The update should be available now X but if it hasn’t downloaded yet, give it 30 minutes to an hour for it to show up. If you don't have it yet, you can follow our guide on how to set it up.
