Balatro may have cornered the market on poker roguelikes, but for those who like blackjack more, we have Dungeons and Degenerate Gamblers! Like Balatro, this is a roguelike where you will go through rounds that get progressively harder and harder, while also opening booster packs to get new cards, participating in mini-games, and more. It's a truly unique roguelike game, and it just got a new update that should improve how it controls on the Steam Deck.

The new 1.3 update, which was released yesterday, contains some big improvements to controller support in general, which should really help with playability on the Steam Deck. Navigation through the UI feels more natural, directional inputs can be held to scroll through different items, and there are new button prompt sets, which include a set for the Steam Deck. This should help with how it plays overall with any controller, and that includes the Deck.
The update includes some big changes across the board as well. There has been a full overhaul for your ID card customization, so you can pick options to customize faster, as well as customizing skin tone, hair dye, and new face options. You can also save a copy of your portrait to your device to share with others. There is also new art added for the Runaway Cart and Dungeon Counterfeiter events, slot machine, and new icons and animations for locking and unlocking.
There are also a ton of specific card effect, foe balancing, and deck unlocking changes, and you can check all of it out on their changelog from their Steam Community Post.

Dungeons and Degenerate Gamblers is on sale for $10.04 until April 15th and is rated Verified.
