The last couple of years have been wild for emulation. While we have seen advancements with PS4 emulation, I have been most excited to see PC ports of emulated games. Over the past year or so, we have seen Nintendo 64 games get decompiled to create native PC ports of those games. We have seen it with Super Mario 64, Star Fox, and even Perfect Dark. Now, it seems we may have another PC port soon, and I couldn't be more excited.

Over the last couple of days, Duke Nukem Zero Hour officially became 100% decompiled by GitHub user Gillou68310, leading the way to a PC port being created. Spotted by ViniciusMederio6 on Twitter/X, and reposted by MrSujano, this essentially means that the game has been completely taken apart, making it easy to translate and use for other projects, which can include a PC port.

Similar to the other decompilation projects, this isn't a guarantee that there will be a PC port available. There usually needs to be a program or secondary application that utilizes the decompiled game to enhance its capabilities, like higher framerate and resolution support, better controller support, mod support, and more. You will also have to have an official dump version of the game that is compatible, which is something we can't provide or link to because of piracy.

However, getting a full decompiled version of the game is the first step to a full-fledged unofficial PC port, and I hope it comes soon with Steam Deck support! You can check out the decompiled project on GitHub.
