Over the last year, we have seen Steam Decks be used for many different tasks. It makes sense, and it is a versatile, cheap, handheld computer, so why not? Well, a couple of days ago, it was spotted at Disneyland helping control some Droids over in the Star Wars area, and it looks awesome.

The screengrab above is from a video posted on Twitter (X) from user @DisneyDan, where you can catch a glimpse at the end of someone holding a Steam Deck with what seems like a device plugged in and some 3D printed back to hold it. In the comments of a quoted post from Pierre-Loup Griffais, this was further shown off by user @markcocjin in a photo with 3 people, two in name tags, holding Decks with some device attached to the back:

Seeing bigger companies incorporate uses like this for the Deck is awesome. While the main use of the Deck has been touted as gaming, seeing other companies and individuals find unique use cases for it will always be mind-blowing. It reminds me how the PS2, a gaming console, could also be used as a desktop PC with Linux. It makes me curious to see what else people will use Steam Decks for, and I am looking forward to it.
