Atomfall may have had a mixed reception by some gamers, but it hasn't stopped the game from being hugely successful, with over 1.5 million players having played the title since its launch less than a week ago. Rebellion (the developers) stated that the game is their most successful launch yet. A good chunk of these players are probably thanks to the game's inclusion on Game Pass, but it's impressive nonetheless.
Here's the accolades trailer for the game, showing how it was received by critics:
Atomfall takes place in the north of England, and events are inspired by the real-life Windscale nuclear incident in Cumbria. Essentially, a retelling of what if the incident was worse than it was in reality. Players must now navigate a somewhat anarchic version of rural England as they try and solve the mysteries behind the whole ordeal and escape the quarantine zone.
In more comical news, it appears Rebellion has been tracking what players have been up to in the game, with over 3.7 million kills using a cricket bat, 4 million pasties consumed, and over 300,000 cups of tea drunk so far.

Atomfall is available now on Steam for $49.99 and is rated as Verified on the Steam Deck, so you should be able to have a pretty good time playing on the go.
