I don't play a ton of point-and-click horror games, but ASYLUM may be one I feel compelled to try. As a spiritual successor to the cult classic Scratches, it looks like a hauntingly crazy game, and I love the inspirations it takes to create the decaying mental institute you will be running around in. However, it has been plagued with a huge issue when trying to run the game on the Steam Deck, but this has now been fixed!

Recently, there has been an issue with anyone running the game through the Proton compatibility layer that will softlock the game. This is the only way to play it on the Steam Deck or any Linux device. The new update should fix this issue, so there should be no more soft locking when trying to play the game on the Steam Deck.
The rest of the update is focused on fixes here and there, along with the MacOS build being deemed fully operational. Subtitles during the intro will now appear correctly, ropes will now be correctly hanging, tasks will now trigger as intended, and any missing elements in some puzzles should no longer be missing.

ASYLUM is available on Steam for $24.99. It is rated Unsupported, but it sounds like the game is playable.
