To this day, we have been using Proton on the Steam Deck for almost every game playable on there, that sometimes, we forget that the only reason we can do that is Valve's compatibility layer. But, in all the years it has been around, did you know it hasn't had a logo? Well, today, we can now officially say that the Proton compatibility layer has a logo now!
First reported on GamingOnLinux, Valve has officially and unexpectedly unveiled the Proton logo that they will most likely be using moving forward. Thanks to a tip from Liam, who runs GamingOnLinux, I was able to find it for myself by just searching for Proton on the Steam Deck. And lo and behold, there it was...staring me in the face.
This is awesome to see, considering how long it has been since Proton released, and now we have an official logo to pair it with! This comes hot on the heels of Proton 9 coming into beta and a new Experimental update too, both of which are fantastic improvements to the layer. Now, we can enjoy the awesomeness that is this logo right on our Steam Decks.
