Steam Deck Verified/Playable Highlights 1/1/24 - 1/7/24

Since we are coming out of a holiday weekend, there weren't a ton of games that we have to highlight as newly Steam Deck Verified or Playable ones, but there were still a couple of really cool and amazing games that deserve a showcase! From my personal 2023 favorite dotAGE to interesting titles like ScourgeBringer, here are the five highlights we found:

Verified or Playable games don't automatically mean they work amazing out of the box. Some of these games may require work to optimize and play well. Here are our thoughts on the Verified system and how it can be fixed.

Steam Deck Verified/Playable Highlights 1/1/24 - 1/7/24

dotAGE (Verified)

Village elder, help us! The Apocalypse is approaching, and we need your guidance to survive. Assign your workers and build a thriving village against the pending doom. DotAGE is the merciless survival roguelite turn-based city builder. Will you fulfill the Prophecy?

The game is $17.59 and rated Verified. This was also my favorite game of 2023 personally, and I go more into detail on our Best of 2023 article.

ScourgeBringer (Verified)

ScourgeBringer is a fast-paced free-moving roguelite platformer. Help Kyhra to explore the unknown and slash her way through ancient machines guarding the seal of her past, and maybe the redemption of humanity.

The game is $16.99 and rated Verified.

Shape Shifter: Formations (Verified)

Shape Shifter: Formations is an action twin-stick shooter with rogue-lite elements, where you must destroy hordes of geometric enemies alone or with a friend. Select your ship and combine a large variety of weapons, abilities and infinitely stacking upgrades to craft your own unique build.

The game is $6.99 and rated Verified. It is in early access and got its first update 4 days ago, which brought in Endless Mode and some Steam Deck optimizations.

Sagres (Verified)

Sagres is a truly open world sailing game set in the Age of Discovery where the player takes the role of Fernando, a burgeoning explorer, who sets off on an epic adventure to help his friend Lucia unravel the mystery of her father's disappearance.

The game is $19.99 and rated Verified.

Dino Survivors (Verified)

Face hordes of Dinosaurs and prehistoric creatures in this survival game with minimalist gameplay! Dino Survivors is a casual game with Roguelite elements, where you need to be faster and survive several species of extinct animals. Your choices will determine this.

The game is $1.99 and rated Verified.

And that's all for this week. There really wasn't a lot, but still some very cool games to check out. Sagres sounds quite interesting, so I will definitely be looking into it more myself!
