Selaco is by far one of the best shooters I have played on the Steam Deck, even though it is in early access. The way the team was able to work with GZDoom to create one of the best first-person shooters. It is an awesome game, and I love playing it on the go, and with the newest update, it just got a whole lot better.
In the new 0.86 patch that was released yesterday, there were multiple different improvements that were designed specifically for the Steam Deck. There were some smaller fixes, like overlapping UI elements and missing symbols on the on-screen keyboard, but we also have a new FOV slider that can go down to 60 and numerous performance and stability improvements. It makes the game significantly more enjoyable to play, and any improvements are very welcome.
The update itself is another pretty big one, too. There’s a new special campaign to play through, with a customizable experience and ARPG-like rarity system for weapons, support for Steam Cloud and GeForce NOW, new achievements, better tutorial prompts, reworked headshots, and improvements to different weapons and their sounds. There are also new upgrades and custom ammo for the shotgun, on top of a plethora of balance changes and bug fixes.
You can check out the full, massive changelog for more details via their Steam Community Post.
Selaco is currently on a 25% off sale at $18.74 until December 4th and is rated Verified.
