If you've been watching game showcases over the past couple of years, you may well have spotted The Plucky Squire. This interesting little platformer caught people's eye with its unique ability to switch seamlessly between the 2-dimensional and 3-dimensional world. And the latest gameplay video focuses on just that, check it out!

I have to admit, this looks like one really interesting game, I wasn't expecting the 2D to 3D shift to be used beyond simply moving between areas, but it really does look like a key element that the game was built around and provides some interesting opportunities for unique puzzles.

Are you ready to face the evil totally "uncool" wizard Humpgrump and his minions when The Plucky Squire launches later this year?

The Plucky Squire is due to launch on Steam later this year. We don't know the system requirements yet, but we do know that it will have full controller support. The game is also due to launch on the Nintendo Switch, so hopefully that means there's some scalability available on the PC version that will allow the Steam Deck to handle it.
